The Lakeville at Xintiandi
2002-12
The 32,000-square-metre Lakeville at Xintiandi is the first residential development project in the Taipingqiao Redevelopment Project. It comprises three 8- to 12-storied apartment buildings, one 19-storied and one 23-storied high-rises, a condo villa and a duplex villa, with a total of 283 units, each with two to six rooms and measuring 105 square metres to 500 square metres. Construction works started in November 2001 and are expected to complete in mid 2003.
Lakeville uses the same design team as that of Xintiandi: Mr Benjamin Wood is in charge of master planning and overall design, Nikken Sekkei International Ltd is responsible for architectural design, Meinhardt (Singapore) Pte Ltd Consulting Engineers, Planners, Managers undertakes structural and electromechanical design, and Belt Collins carries out landscape design. With a clean design and a beautiful environment, Lakeville uses traditional bricks and Shikumen stone gates to replicate the style of old Shanghai Shikumen courtyard houses.
Overlooking the 40,000-square-metre Taipingqiao Lake and Park, Lakeville boasts an unmatched view in downtown Shanghai, and is within walking distance of the Huai Hai Zhong Road business district, Xintiandi and the metro station. With 40% of green spaces and recreational amenities such as an indoor heated swimming pool and an 8,000-square-metre clubhouse, residents enjoy both a peaceful environment and the convenience of modern life.
Since pre-sale started in May 2002, Lakeville has attracted a lot of local and overseas purchasers.
Construction works of the second residential development project in the Taipingqiao Redevelopment project will start in February 2003 and are scheduled to complete by March 2005. With a site area of over 32,000 square metres and total gross area of more than 137,000 square metres, the project will include four 32-floor high-rises, two 10-floor buildings, one 12-floor building and one 18-floor building.
More than 50% of the units will have a view of the Taipingqiao Lake and Park. Moreover, there will be a 7,000-square-metre clubhouse and a car park with close to 500 parking spaces.
